I was disconnected from the world when my family and I went camping this past weekend.
No phone signal.
No schoolwork to teach, plan for, or grade.
We had three whole days filled with trail hiking, watching the boys ride bikes, playing family games, taking naps and lots of reading. I hadn’t realized just how emotionally exhausted I was until I had these days to get away and recharge.
It was wonderful.
I’ve been reading more and more about how to try to slow down and enjoy each day we’re given. I’m not sure how to do that with a rapidly growing business and teaching two amazing boys but I do know that taking those days for myself were wonderful. I’d like to try to find ways to work in more peaceful time each day. Do you have any ways that you intentionally ‘slow down’?
I know that I’d definitely love getting away from it all at the De Soto National Forest campgrounds in Mississippi again.
